Pokemon X And Y Pokedex [VIDEO]: English Names For Starters Evolutions Unveiled, Pokemon Smash To End This Month!

Pokemon X and Y is just around the corner, and more Pokedex updates have surfaced regarding the starters evolutions.

To start off, the starters evolutions shown in the CoroCoro October issue have received their English names for the Pokedex. Chespin evolves into Quilladin.

"When Chespin evolves into Quilladin, the hard spikes on its body grow even sturdier. Despite its prickly appearance, Quilladin is considered a gentle Pokémon that avoids battle," says the description according to Pokejungle.

Who knew Chespin would become a "porcupine" Pokemon.

Next, Fennekin evolves into Braixen. ""Once Fennekin evolves into Braixen, it no longer eats branches. But it still keeps a tree branch in its tail, which seems to calm the Pokémon."

And finally, Froakie evolves into Frogadier. "Frogadier evolves from Froakie, and when it does, its jumping skill improves. During battle, Frogadier confounds its opponents by leaping about the ceiling or into trees."

In addition, it has been confirmed that Pyroar is a Fire/Normal Pokemon, and evolves from Litleo. Like Meowstic and other Pokemon in X and Y, Pyroar has distinct gender differences.

But in addition to these Pokemon X and Y Pokedex updates, it has been confirmed that the long-running Japanese variety show Pokemon Smash will end its run at the end of this month.

A new Pokemon-themed show called Pokemon Get TV will then being October 6, according to Serebii. A few cast members from Pokemon Smash will reportedly transition over to the new variety show, but it is unconfirmed if the full cast will return.
