Basketball News NBA: Former Bulls' Rodman To Coach North Korea's Olympic Basketball Team?

This might not be the most insightful basketball NBA news you can find today, and we're also pretty unsure what you would think or feel about it. But here goes...

Dennis Rodman wants to coach the North Korean Olympic basketball team.

If you're still reading, here are some details you may want to know about, or not. In a press conference held on Monday, Rodman announced that he will partner with Paddy Power and host the Paddy Power Invitational, which will be held in North Korea.

According to Rodman, the program will bring in NBA greats such as Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Karl Malone and many others to North Korean soil where they will play with the North Korean basketball team.

The invitational is set to be held in January next year under the financing and support of the North Korean government.

Ths year, Rodman has been reported making a few trips to the remote country, and from the looks of it, he has already made ties with the country's leader, Kim Jong Un.

If this basketball invitation pushes through, would this finally mend the ties between the United States and North Korea? That we will know in due  time.

Here's the report from Bleacher Report, including the video of Rodman's press event.
