LG G2 Specs, Price, Release Date: Sprint Joins Fold With Oct. 11 Preorder $199 Two-Year Contract

LG G2 specs, price and release date: A new feature called "Answer Me" automatically answers a call when the new smartphone is raised to your ear, and "Text Link" lets users save certain information, including addresses, to a map.

With the release date just passing by AT&T and Verizon, T-Mobile will release the phone in the U.S. on Wednesday. As far as Sprint goes, preorders start Oct. 11. The 5.2-inch LG G2 will cost $199.99 with a two-year contract, Mobile Bloom reported, which is the same price as Verizon and AT&T.

T-Mobile offers the LG G2 with the same specs and a cheaper price. $99 down, with $20 payments and no two-year contract. The release date is Wednesday as the four major carriers in the U.S. get on board with this new smartphone.

"The most innovative aspect of the G2 is the design, with the rear key being the feature everyone has been talking about since the news became public," Jong-seok Park, CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications, said in a statement. "It is certainly different. However, the sole purpose of this design shift was not just to be different. It was born from one of our key findings in human research."
