SNL Cast 2013 Adds Six New Performers; New Co-Anchor Joins Seth Meyers Weekend Update

SNL cast 2013 officially named six new performers. Lorne Michaels, the producer of SNL announced that the “Saturday Night Live” cast 2013 will add six featured players: Beck Bennett, John Milhiser, Kyle Mooney, Mike O’Brien, Noël Wells and Brooks Wheelan will join the SNL cast 2013.

Rumors about the SNL cast 2013 have been going around since August. NBC made the SNL cast 2013 official.

New comedians include show writer Mike O'Brien and Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney, who founded who founded the comedy group Good Neighbor at USC. Also John Milhiser and Noel Wells. The New York Times reported that Saturday Night Live will add a sixth cast member, Brooks Whelan. Tim Robinson moves to SNL's the writers' desk.

Beck Bennett probably makes him the best known of the SNL cast 2013 because he appeared in a series of national spots for AT&T which.

Mike O’Brien will take to the stage as he goes from writer to “Saturday Night Live” cast member. Tim Robinson is going the other way. Robinson debuted as a performer last season and will write skits this year.

Lorne Michaels confirmed yesterday that second-year cast member Cecily Strong will join Seth Meyers for the Weekend Update segment, starting with the premiere episode on Sept. 25. Lorne Michaels told the New York Times, “Cecily, from the first show, was right there. She exploded.”

Cecily Strong is in her second year as a Saturday Night Live cast member on NBC.

Cecily Strong will join the Weekend Update desk on SNL’s season premiere on Sept. 28.

Seth Meyers is leaving “Saturday Night Live” in February to focus on “Late Night.”

Miley Cyrus will host and be the musical guest on Oct. 5.

As previously reported, SNL alum and 30 ROCK star/creator Tina Fey will host the season opener on Sept. 28 with musical guest Arcade Fire.
