Girls Season 3: Cast Adds Danielle Brooks Of 'Orange If The New Black,' Kim Gorden To Make Cameo As Lena Dunham Supports Boyfriend's Concert

"Girls" season 3should be premiering in the coming months, and a new cast member has been added in the form of Danielle Brooks of "Orange is the New Black."

In talking with Ebony, Danielle Brooks revealed pulling double-duty between "Orange is the New Black" season 2 as well as "Girls" season 3.

"Of course you're going to get to see a lot of Taystee in Season 2 and I just shot an episode of 'Girls' for HBO. I will be the first black woman to be on 'Girls,' so that's exciting for me."

Whether Brooks is only slated for one episode or more than that remains to be seen.

And another name who will be appearing on the Lena Dunham show is rocker Kim Gordon.

During an interview with Slate, Gordon revealed that she will in fact be making a cameo appearance, most likely in a music-related capacity.

But not all is happy and content for "Girls" season 3, as continued filming in Brooklyn has created friction between the show and some locals.

"It's just so confusing. I want everyone to know how kick-ass my borough is, I really do. Brooklyn is and always has been the greatest. But I want it to be worshiped from afar," writes Hollywood contributor Avram Finkelstein.

Meanwhile, Lena Dunham is also trying to balance "Girls" with her relationship with Jack Antonoff, the lead guitarist of Fun.
