FIFA 14 PS4 Release Date: Player Pace Stats Decreased? Demo Reveals That EA Sports Eradicates Emphasis On Pace

Gamers who were able to get their hands on the demo version of FIFA '14 revealed that EA Sports has decreased the pace states of almost every single player in the game, WhatCulture.com reports, leaving many wondering if game's PS4 version will be similar.

"Do you see the problem? While players may not be as fast as they were in previous FIFA games, the difference between the fast and the slow is still exactly the same, meaning that it would surely be the same advantage as it was previously, right?" the website writes.

"Even still, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's pace stats have increased to 95; how did EA come to that conclusion?"

EA Sports will release next-generation console versions of FIFA '14 in November, once the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One are available, and the developer has announced some specs that are being carried over.

Increased transfer budgets in Career Mode, global transfer network scouts and edit player functionality are some of the specs that will be made available in the Playstation 4 version of the game.

EA Canada's Nick Channon told Official Xbox Magazine that the next-gen version of FIFA 14 will be the definitive edition with some higher-end animations apparently impossible to run on PS3 and Xbox 360, Gameranx.com reports.

"For us it's just about using the power of the machine, in terms of much more processing power and significantly more memory, and using the power of the Ignite engine to bring all these things together," Channon mentioned during the interview.

"Those shackles, if you like, are being released on the new consoles, and we're very proud of the innovations we've made on 14 and we'll continue to do that on 15, 16 and beyond. We wouldn't restrict ourselves for any reason."
