More rumors about Nexus 5 release date surface in the mobile world nowadays as fall season nears. According to a post from Gotta Be Mobile, rumors claim that Nexus 5 release date may happen just a day ahead of the announcement for Apple new tablet device, the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2. Particularly, the report indicated that Nexus 5 release date may be set for October 14, alongside the launch of Google's newest operating system, Android 4.4 KitKat.

A device thought to be the Nexus 5 recently passed through Wi-Fi certifications so it could be that the Nexus 5 release date is inching closer as well.

One of the signs that may pertain to the quickly approaching Nexus 5 release date quickly is the status of its predecessor, the Nexus 4. As reported by International Business Times, Nexus 4 16GB model is already sold out at the Google Play Store.

Moreover, according to reports, it will not be restocked anymore. The post reads, "the 16GB Nexus 4 will not be returning to the Google Play Store as it has now been discontinued by Google," according to sources who have told The Verge.

A device from LG, which is thought to be the upcoming Google smartphone, has passed through Wi-fi certifications yesterday, September 17, possibly indicating that Nexus 5 release date is already close.  As posted on the same report from Gotta Be Mobile, "The LG D820 is widely believed to be LG's version of the Nexus 5 and it's the LG D820 that has been spotted passing through Wi-Fi certifications today, a sign that the Nexus 5 release date is passing the necessary roadblocks."

Expected Nexus 5 specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, LTE full connectivity, 13MP camera withoptical image stabilization, 2300mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner, and full LTE connectivity. However, these news about Nexus 5 release date and specs are all yet to be confirmed by Google.
