Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Release Date: New OS Is Almost There For Samsung Galaxy S4 And HTC One Google Play Users, Software Polished With Security Upgrade

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean release date is just a couple of days away after a long wait by Samsung S4 and HTC One Google Play users. The Android 4.3 security update codenamed JWR66Y is reported by ChristianToday.com to have been developed after a $5,700 Bitcoin heist back in August this year. After confirmation from Google Developers that there was a loophole in the Android OS cryptography that left so many end-user apps vulnerable, development of the security update kicked into high gear.

Google play handsets are pretty much the same as the carrier-based devices with the only difference being that they only use Android software. This makes it easier for the users to update them without having to go through Samsung’s TouchWiz UI or HTC’s Sense platforms that are quite complicated for the common owner.

According to Christiantoday.com, a Reddit user pinpointed the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean security update on the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 while using GFXBenchmark. This should be taken very positively if it is indeed true. There still is a possibility that the GFXBenchmark build number listed as JSS15J could be a fake or a trial version but consumers hope that it is the real deal.

Androidorigin.com states that there has already been an unofficial release of the 4.3 Jelly Bean test version from AOKP, leading Android ROM developers. These are to be for the Samsung Galaxy S4, S3 and the Galaxy Note 2.

It was observed by Android Origin that this test build did not fix the problems it was expected to with the Bluetooth, GPS and Camera PP for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for Verizon carrier. Christian Today went further to report that Nexus users are already enjoying their Android 4.3 update for a week now already. The same goes for T-Mobile and Vodafone users of the Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 in Europe.
