iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 Release Date: Apple Tablets To Hit Shelves By October 15, Features Include iOS 7 Out Of The Box And Battery Expected To Last 10 Hours Straight

iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 release dates is less than a month away, if rumors are correct. The International Business Times of Australia reports that we can expect the newest line-up of the iOS-powered tablets to hit the shelves as early as October 15. Both the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 will have iOS 7 out of the box.

When it comes to the specs, the IB Times said that the iPad Mini 2 will feature a 7.9in Display bearing 2048 by 1536 resolution and an A7 processor. The battery should run for 10 hours straight without a charge. It will also have a Facetime HD Camera as well as an iSight 1080p HD video recording camera.

The latest report from the site, which was taken from the French Media Site Mac Generation, states that Apple has a “special event” lined up for us on the October 15th. Apparently, a “new ipad” is set to star in the launching event with many amongst many other Apple products soon to hit the market.

The Cupertino tech giant is not a newbie when it comes to hitting the market with one new product after the next as can be seen with their iPhone 5, new iPods, iPad 4 and iPad Mini released all in a row last year. All speculations show that consumers and reviewers alike are expecting the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 to now come out in October and looking at the fact that it has been exactly a year since their predecessors, this is probably the case.

In addition to all this, the KGI securities analyst by the name of Ming Chi Kuo attested that the new iPads should be in our retail stores by Q4 2013. According to IB Times Australia, he stated that the full scale production of these iPad models kick into full gear by Q4 and it is worth recognizing that he has not been proven wrong to date his predictions on Apple’s Chess moves.
