Kidnapped Georgia Girl Found: 14-Year-Old Abducted Is Discovered A Few Towns Over, Returned To Family

Kidnapped Georgia girl found one day after the 14-year-old was abducted from her home over a day earlier.

The kidnapped Georgia girl found was Ayvani Perez, and at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, robbers allegedly went to rob the home, though they did not find any money or jewelry. Instead, they abducted the 14-year-old.

Searching for the kidnapped girl, 150 law enforcements attempted to find her from the areas surrounding Jonesboro, Georgia.

Two suspects are in custody and two others are at large, police said in a statement. One of the men in custody is Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez, a 40-year-old Mexican national who is being held on immigration-related charges, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The other suspect, Wildrego Jackson of Atlanta, 29, is being held on charges of conspiracy to commit kidnapping.

Jackson spent time in state prison on several drug convictions, aggravated stalking and theft, according to the journal.

Perez has been reunited with her family 24 hours after she went missing. Clayton County Police Chief Gregory Porter said she was found in Conyers, Ga.

"She's in good health, she's being evaluated as we speak," Porter said.

According to Clayton County Police Officer Phong Nguyen, two men broke into the home demanding for money and jewelry. It is believed that the break-in was random.

"It didn't appear that they knew each other," he said of the suspects and victims. "They just moved in about a month ago."
