Nokia Android Phone: Expect A New Android-Powered Lumia Phone In A Few Months, Report Says

Several weeks ago, Nokia announced the impending sale of its mobile and services department to Microsoft, and a few weeks back we discovered the reason for the hasty buyout - the testing of Android-powered Lumia phones. However, it seems Nokia is still looking to make one final push with a midrange phone - the first Nokia Android phone.

According to reports from CTech, the Finnish manufacturer has not stopped testing their Lumias running on Android OS, and Foxconn has already manufactured about 10,000 prototypes of the alleged Android Lumia.

The reports said the rumored Nokia smartphone will be aimed at the midrange market with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor. In addition, a more powerful Android-powered handset is also currently in the works, though there is still no way to confirm it.

Nokia shifting to Android OS has been the outcry of the entire mobile industry including bloggers, analysts and consumers for years, and the Microsoft buyout seemed like the period to end such hopes. But this rumored development may just be the answer to everyone's question:

Would Nokia return to the top once it uses Android? We may soon find out the answer.
