Ben Affleck Batman UPDATE: ‘The Towns’ Actor Does Not Mind Being Criticized For He’s A “Tough” Guy

Since the announcement of the official cast of the upcoming sequel to 'Man of Steel', many have expressed their dislike for the chosen Batman - Ben Affleck.

Despite the presence of his detractors, Affleck remains unscathed. After the announcement last August 22, he was even warned by the "big bosses" not to use the Internet for a couple of days. Instead of following such advice, the actor decided to put on a brave face: "I was like 'I'm a big boy.' I handle s**t. I'm very tough."

The 'Argo' star also asks fans to see the movie first before coming up with negative feedbacks: " "You can't say that before a movie comes out. It doesn't matter what you think then, it matters what you think when you see the movie."

Following the announcement, fans of the superhero expressed their frustrations using Twitter.  A "#BetterBatmanThanBenAffleck" hashtag even became trending.

Affleck is still very determined to be involved in the movie. Although Christian Bale has his own fan base, Affleck said that the film would be very different from the 'Dark Knight' trilogy: "It's so awesome, I'm so excited. It's a very hard thing to describe without giving away the story."

The 'Man of Steel' sequel is slated for release in July 2015.
