OS X Mavericks Release Date: New Mac Operating System Launching With MacBook Pros And New iPads On October 15

OS X Mavericks release date is expected to be on October 15. Apple’s newest operating system for the Mac was announced last June at the company’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC). It has also just seeded its eight Develop Preview four day ago.

Now that OS Mavericks is on its eight developers’ preview, the new operating system is reported now undergoing tweaks and is being tested for a final release. Based on recent release dates history, it usually takes less than two months for Apple to release the final version of an OS when it’s seventh and final beta is sent to developers.

Adding to the excitement is the expected simultaneous launch of the OS X Mavericks with Haswell-powered MacBook Pros and the highly anticipated iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2.

New features for the upcoming OS X include a new Mapps app, tabbed finder, iBooks, and an overhauled look at the calendar. Safari, the flagship browser for the Mac and iCloud Keychain is also in the new version.

9 to 5 Mac stated that this delay in the release happened as Apple decided to focus on the development of the iOS7 that has to be released with the next generation of iPhones, the 5S and the 5C. The said devices were released last September 10 at the company’s keynote event. According to the Mac-focused site, once the iOS7 is released this month, Apple can then finish with the OS X Mavericks in time for a launch by the end of October.

GottaBeMobile.com disproved the belief that Apple will be releasing the iOS 7 and OS Mavericks together by pointing out that for the last few years, Apple has been launching their latest OS X versions a day after they get their 4th Quarter earnings call. This is normally around mid-October.

According to GottaBeMobile.com, since Apple waits for their iOS versions to be ready for release with their new iphones, the same must apply to the Macbooks and the OS X. This means that consumers can expect the new MacBook Pros to come out in late October.

The OS X Mavericks will come with better flexibility in Finder, faster Safari web browser and a host of newly developed iBooks apps. With all the beta stages OS X Mavericks has gone through since its official announcement in June at the WWDC, GottaBeMobile.com predicts that the performance to expect will have been worth the wait.

The new MacBook Pro with Retina Display is rumored to support 4K display and the new high-resolution displays are expected by many to be four times better than standard HD screens.
