Serena Williams Boyfriend 2013: Patrick Mouratoglou Acts Like Her Father? US Open Champ Reveals Lover’s Advice Is Identical To Richard Williams’s Mind Frame

Serena Williams' coach and rumored boyfriend Patrick Mouratoglou might have a lot more in common with her father than he thinks.

In an interview with USA Today earlier this month, the US Open tennis champ revealed that a big reason why she and Patrick Mouratoglou connect is because he is similar to her father.

"That's the only reason I was able to work with him - because of that mind frame," Williams told USA Today. "We have the same forward way of thinking."

Serena Williams and her coach Patrick Mouratoglou have long been rumored to be dating, but one website suggests the couple might not have ever dated.

"The pair have never openly admitted to being anything more than player and coach, but the media and especially the tennis writing press have largely ignored this fact and assumed that they are a couple, to the point that there are now rumours about the so-called 'couple' having split up," SteveGTennis.com reports.

"Following the US Open Serena Williams returned to her family home and complained in her blog about mould issues which forced her and her kids to share her sister Venus' bedroom, but meanwhile Mouratoglou was adding fuel to the media fire by continually posting photographs on Facebook of he and Serena together away from the tennis court."

Serena Williams might have made a new friend - a hockey player named Dan Ogee posted a photo of a trophy he appears to have won and tagged the US Open star in his post, saying "my trophy is bigger then yours."

She responded, saying "Wow can I have it?" and he answered back, saying "Nope, but you can drink from it."

Perhaps the Twitter back-and-fourth exchange might have made Serena Williams' coach and rumored boyfriend Patrick Mouratoglou jealous?
