Goalie Fight Maple Leafs-Bruins [VIDEO] Preseason Game Sunday Night: Original Six Shows Oldschool Brawl That Leads To Impressive Scrap B/T Men In Net

Goalie fight breaks out during brawl in a preseason NHL game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins Sunday.

Olympic silver medalist USA, Ryan Miller, was in the goalie fight against the Leafs' goaltender, Jonathan Bernier. This fight happened a few minutes after a handful of other fights happened consecutively.

Early in the second period, Troy Bodie and Drew Bagnall went at it. It didn't end there. In the third, Chad Ruhwedel and Andrew MacWilliam fought. From there more fights ensued and then the goalies fight each other.

The Bruins John Scott then instigated Phil Kessel until teammates stepped in to save the team's star player. Kessel was able to get a few good shots in with his stick. From there, all the skaters on the ice went at it and even David Clarkson came off the bench to get involved. He received a 10-game suspension for the regular season that begins next month.

The highlight of the fight was the rarity of two goaltenders deciding to take off the helmets, drop the blocker, glove and stick to square up. It wasn't a joke of a fight either. Both goalies got some good shots on one another.

"I just asked him if he wanted to go, and obviously I don't think he seemed that he actually wanted to go, but that's the way it goes," Bernier said. "It's a hockey game, but you get hyper in energy and I wanted to defend my teammates."

Bernier was replaced by Drew MacIntyre and Miller by Matt Hackett.

Ryan Miller took to Twitter to comment on what went down. "Well... that escalated quickly. #oldtimehockey #eddieshore."
