Adam Klugman, son of Dallas's actor Jack Klugman was reportedly upset over Cory Monteith's tribute during the Emmy's. In a report by gossip site TMZ, Klugman argued that his father a twice Emmy nominated thespian only got a brief mention (together with other television legends such James Gandolfini, Jean Stapleton and David Goldberg) while Cory Monteith a young actor who OD on heroine got a what appears to be a more special tribute compared to what the real television legends were given.

"Mork and Mindy" star was honored by Robin Williams. Edie Falco honored his "Sopranos" co-actor James Gandolfini who died of a heart attack during his vacation in Italy last July. Michael J. Fox honored "Family Ties" and "Spin City" creator, Gary David Goldberg. To honor Jean Stapleton, Rob Reiner was summoned for the task. Lastly for Cory Monteith his Glee co-star Jane Lunch presented a tribute for the former.

Including Monteith in the tribute may appear good (as it will raise drug abuse awareness among celebrities or bad (as it may appear to glorify death by addiction.)

A neutral statement on the tribute was given by Ally McBeal star Peter MacNicol, he told TMZ, "it was not only meant for those who finished a full marathon."

It is evident however that during the post-humus tributes for television legends including Jack Klugman, Larry Hagman, Jeane Cooper, Andy Williams, Annette Funicello, Sir David Frost and Ray Dolby appeared to may have been cut-short compared to a long one intended for Monteith's, perhaps for air-time saving purposes?

 Is Cory Monteith even worth to be included in this post-humus tribute which included the ranks of Hagman, Frost, and Goldberg?

Personally my answer is no, and I am firm to state that the previous tributes made for the actor by his colleagues at the hit show 'Glee' is enough. There is no need to have ANOTHER one during the Emmy Awards.

It appears that the producers have banked on the young actor's popularity among the youth. Sadly, it also appears that it have undervalued real television heavy weights such as Klugman and Hagman.

And I say Adam Klugman did not overreact, his reaction is just appropriate.
