‘Kick Ass 2’ Star To Scare Audiences In ‘Carrie’ Horror Film[TRAILER]; Chloe Moretz To Take More Mature Roles

From the costume hit sequel “Kick Ass 2” to the iconic horror title role, “Carrie,” Chloe Moretz will leave her child star image to take on more mature roles.

Chloe Moretz is the latest ‘girl becomes a lady’ story as she takes on the title role in the ‘reimagining’ of Stephen King’s ‘Carrie.’ This is a coveted role as the original version saw Sissy Spacek catapulted into fame in 1976. This was also the first of many Stephen King movie adaptations.

The movie was recently given an “R” Rating for ‘disturbing images and some sexual content.’ The producers didn’t seem to mind even though their lead star is a teenage anti-heroine.

Chloe Moretz talks about taking more mature roles and other topics in an interview with W Magazine where she graces the cover.
On dreaming of having a super power: “It’s pretty cliché, but I’d like to fly. I would not want to be invisible. I don’t want to see things that I don’t want to see. I’m a big fan of turning my head and not knowing.”

On Europe influencing her style: “I used to wear button-down shirts and little sweaters, and I looked like an adult, but now I want to have a Christopher Kane kind of style. I’m moody: I wear a lot of black—but I could reinvent myself tomorrow.”

On confidence in front of the camera: “To be honest, I feel most confident when I am in front of a camera. I’ve learned to think of myself in the third person. When I watch my scenes, I’ll say, ‘She could have done better.’”

"Carrie" is set for release on October 18.
