"American Horror Story: Coven" is just around the corner, and the cast have nothing but fond things to say about the upcoming season 3.

During the Emmy weekend, many of the "American Horror Story: Coven" cast were spotted on the red carpet, and one such newcomer is Emma Roberts.

"The show shoots in New Orleans this year which is so fun because New Orleans is such an amazing place and it's really spooky and there's so much history there," said Roberts, who will be playing a young witch along with Gabourey Sidibe and Taissa Farmiga.

"I think it's cool that they're kind incorporating New Orleans into the show. And it kind of adds another element to it."

"This year I play Madison, and she's cool because I get to do a little bit of humor because it's a scary show," Roberts explained to E! Online. "And there's a lot of dark stuff happening and my character gets to be funny at times."

Premiering October 9, "American Horror Story: Coven" tells the story of a cast of witches who are seeking protection from mysterious attacks as Fiona (Jessica Lange) comes back into town to protect the young acolytes.

Fiona's daughter Cordelia will be played by cast member Sarah Paulson, and both Lange and Paulson were nominated at the Emmys. During the celebration, Paulson took the time to talk about her new dynamic with Lange in "American Horror Story: Coven."

"We have yet to film any of our scenes from the first episode, of which there a few. I don't know what it will be like [because it's not a continuation of "Asylum"]," says Paulson to the Huffington Post.

"This year it's a true mother-daughter relationship, in that it's quite complicated. It's not one of those kumbaya situations. Not a lot of hugging on this show."

In addition, Spoiler TV has revealed the episode 6 title of season 3, which will be called "The Axeman Cometh."
