INFINITE Shows Their Love At One Great Step Press Conference In Singapore: 'We Now Could Share More with International Fans'

INFINITE met up with the media a day prior to their concert, 2013 INFINITE 1st World Tour 'One Great Step' in Singapore, for an exclusive press conference. On Friday afternoon, the Korean boy band consisting of leader Sunggyu, Dongwoo, Woohyun, Hoya, Sungyeol, L, and our darling Sungjong (as how he introduced himself), showed off their charms and talked about their first World tour, being in Singapore and their collaboration with Samsung.

During the press conference, INFINITE revealed why their 1st World Tour was titled 'One Great Step' and the concept behind it. Sunggyu said, "When Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, he used the phrase 'one small step'. We got inspired by it and wanted to name our World tour 'One Great Step'." He continued, "The World tour allows us to share (with international fans) whatever we couldn't share because we were in Korea, so we're pretty excited about it."

INFINITE showed their relentless support for Samsung throughout the press conference and the members constantly posed and showed off the features of the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy gear. The members said they were all "addicted" to Samsung's new offerings. Woohyun even made a huge heart above his head and exclaimed "I love Samsung!"

When asked about their must-try dish in Singapore, it came as no surprise when Sunggyu mentioned the ever-famous Chili crab. However, it was his later declaration of his love for the local dish that caught everyone off guard. The leader described the flavourful Singaporean dish as "so amazing I still remember the taste" and brought laughter to the members of the media. One question posed during the press conference was to name the 'selca king' in the group. Woohyun was picked and Dongwoo said his charming group member was "definitely the 'selca king'." Woohyun then unabashedly proceeded with a demonstration on how to take the best 'selca'. The unrivaled 'selca king' highlighted, "45 degree is the point."

"Korea is turning to autumn now, it's really cold and chilly, but Singapore is still nice and warm so I love it here" said Sunggyu when asked if they enjoy Singapore and its weather. He added "It's been awhile since we came back to Singapore and a lot of people came to welcome us so we feel really great and happy."

INFINITE debuted back in 2010 and it has been a solid 3 years that they have been out on the K-pop scene. Looking back on their rookie days, Hoya said, "Time to time I will think of the days back then when we started out, but I don't really miss those times as we were hungry and cold back then." Sunggyu then cheekily added "but I'm still hungry", while Sungyeol defended the leader by saying "I'm hungry". This made Hoya slightly flustered and lightened the somewhat solemn mood.

Singapore was the first country that INFINITE held a concert on outside of Korea and the members themselves noted that they do "feel a little different here". When asked if they would do anything special for Singaporean Inspirits, the members said they prepared a Singaporean song and told fans to anticipate their rendition of the local song at their concert held the next day.

For fans that were unable to attend the concert, Hoya delivered a message to them via the press conference, "I miss you all and I love you so much."

INFINITE will hold their 'One Great Step' concert in Singapore at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on October 5th, 7PM.
