Miley Cyrus Happier Without Liam Hemsworth, Smiling Again After ‘Stress And Strain’ Of Relationship, Billy Ray Cyrus Says

Miley Cyrus is happier without Liam Hemsworth, and is smiling more after her break up from Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus's father Billy Ray Cyrus says, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, which airs today.

"All I know for sure is I heard my daughter say today she's the happiest she's ever been in her life immediately following [the breakup]. That's when I saw Miley being so happy," Billy Ray Cyrus told Entertainment Tonight, according to E! News.

He added, "Somewhere along the stress and strain of different things I didn't see her smiling as often for a little while and, all of a sudden she's like the sun and when she smiles it's light...Everything happens for a reason and the main thing for me, as Miley's daddy, is she's happy."

Billy Ray Cyrus may be referring to his daughter's interview Monday with Matt Lauer on the "Today" show, The New York Daily News reports.

"I'm the happiest I've ever been in my whole life," Miley Cyrus told Lauer.

E! News reports Billy Ray took to Twitter to express how happy he was about his daughter's current feelings, writing, "Wanna know how I feel as a Father?Just heard my daughter say@MileyCyrus. "I'm the happiest I've ever been in my whole life.'All I ever wanted."

Miley Cyrus and her ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth broke up in September, bringing an end to their 15-month engagement and three years of dating. Miley and Liam met on the set of their 2008 movie "The Last Song."

The couple was last seen together at the Los Angeles premiere of Liam's new film, "Paranoia," on August 8. Although Miley was by Liam's side on the red carpet to support his film, Liam was nowhere in sight when Cyrus gave her memorable performance at the 2013 MTV VMAs in NYC.
