Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition Update: 'Battle And Beasts Skin Pack 2' Arriving Today; Game Developer, 4J Studios, Hiring Console Programmers

4J Studios, the dev company behind "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition" is looking for more help for future projects.

As reported by Examiner, citing a report from Scottish Games, the game developer is currently on the lookout for console programmers for their office at East Linton in Scotland.

As the post reads, the maker of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is "now looking for experienced console programmers to help them shape the future of the insanely popular game across other platforms, both current and next generation."

Furthermore, the job posting from the company that created Minecraft; Xbox 360 Edition, reads, "We are currently looking for experienced Console programmers to join our East Linton office, working on Minecraft for current and next generation consoles. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years industry experience with at least one published console game to their name. In return we offer a competitive salary but more importantly, a friendly small-team working environment where your input really helps shape the product."

Recently, 4J Studios developed the TU13 patch for the "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition", and the team is also planning to release more DLC packs like upcoming Battle and Beasts Skin Pack 2 for the current-gen console.

Speaking about Battle and Beasts Skin Pack 2, this downloadable contend for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is coming today, as posted on 4J Studios' official Twitter account.

The Battle and Beasts Skin Pack 2 came before Skin Pack 6, which some fans have also been expecting for a while now. As to any progress with Skin Pack 6, 4J Studios reports that it is in "early development" as of the moment.

As Minecraft continues to become a bigger global phenomenon, with its Xbox 360 edition selling over 8 million copies already, aside from the 33 million copies sold across all formats, it was announced that the game will be brought to other game consoles.

Minecraft is expected to be ported as well on the next-generation consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One during the launch dates of these platforms. Just like the Xbox 360 Edition, 4J Studios is in-charge of bringing Minecraft PS4 and Xbox One versions. Aside from these, Minecraft will also be heading to PS3 and PlayStation Vita, though there is no official release date announced yet.
