As we previously reported, in "The Vampire Diaries" season 5, episode 2, called "True Lies," Damon will discover that his brother Stefan is missing, according to new spoiler sneak peek trailers. Damon will attempt to find Stefan, but won't tell Elena right away that he's trying to find him. Elena won't be happy when she finds out.

The spoiler clip for "True Lies" shows Damon is upset when he learns Stefan has been suffering while he's been having a great time with Elena all summer. Damon will be teaming up with Sheriff Forbes in an attempt to find Stefan, IB Times reports.

"Stefan's been drowning over and over again all summer long while I've been playing house with Elena," Damon admits in the clip.

But in another scene in the spoiler clip, Elena is weeping and insisting that she has to help Damon with his search. We can only guess she isn't happy that Damon kept this information from her.

"Stefan's been reaching out to me," Elena says, choked up. "He's in a lot of pain. We have to find him."

Looks like Damon and Elena will have one thing in common in episode 2: guilt.

But will Damon and Elena be too late to save Stefan's humanity?

According to IB Times, in the "Vampire Diaries" season 5 premiere, "I Know What You Did Last Summer," we found out that Stefan's been drowning in the lake all summer and having imaginary conversations with Damon about turning off his humanity in an attempt to stop feeling his misery.
