Nexus 5 Release Date Rumors: Launching More Imminent As Japanese Retailer Opens Pre-Order For New Google Smartphone Priced At $460

A number of rumors about Nexus 5 release date is linking the arrival of the device with an October launch date, most likely mid-October. However, Google is yet to make an announcement regarding the official Nexus 5 release date.

But most recently, new sets of information are emerging supporting rumors that the Nexus 5 release date is already on the horizon.

One of the emerging proofs that the Nexus 5 release date is happening soon is the report about Japanese retailer which already started getting pre-orders for the next-gen Google smartphone. As reported by Christian Today, a company from Japan, Gecko and Co. already began getting pre-orders for the new phone even though Google has not yet confirmed the official Nexus 5 release date, as well as the schedule of the unveiling.

Furthermore, the company also stated that it is expecting the device to ship by November 14. Its price list states that the 16 GB is available for 44,600 yen or $460, while the 32 GB is valued at 49,800 yen or ($514).

Since the reports are from Japanese retailers, tech fans should keep in mind that the Asian country could have earlier or later Nexus 5 release date compared to other markets. Moreover, the pricing from third-party retailer is more likely to be higher than the official Google pricing.

Aside from Nexus 5 release date, tech enthusiasts are also interested to know about the smarthphone's specs. According to reports, Nexus 5 is expected to have a 5-inch 1080p display, 2 GB RAM, 2.3GHz Krait 400 CPU, 8 MP primary camera and 1.3 MP front-facing camera.
