Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date Sometime In January, Claims Korean Media Reports

In spite impressive sales performance of its current flagship, Samsung thinks it could have done better. And now, recent reports claim that the Samsung Galaxy S5 release date will be sometime within January, while the units would officially hit the stores the following month.

According to several Korean media websites, some sources within the company are pointing to an early flagship release next year. While this seems too early, we should remember that the Galaxy S4 was released a couple of months earlier than the usual release which is mid-year.

This could mean that Samsung is really planning to step up its pacing as far as phone releases are concerned.

There's not much to talk about the Galaxy S5 spec-wise, though previous reports say that it will have a 64-bit quadcore Exynos 5430 chip. Some rumors are also claiming that it will feature an improved 16MP primary camera.

In another report, it has been rumored to be water-resistant and dustproof like Sony's Xperia lineup.

However, one of the most talked about rumors recently is that another Galaxy line will be built with a full metal body. It could be that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S5 in January, and start preparing to release the rumored 'F' smartphone sometime in June or July next year.
