GTA V PC Release Date: New Report Claims PC Version Will Arrive Before April 2014, To Stick With Rockstar's Usual Schedule

In spite the outstanding success of GTA V in current-gen consoles, there is still an outcry for it to be released in PC. But according to recent reports, it is not a question of 'what' or 'why', but 'when'.

In a report by Eurogamer, 'multiple industry sources' are pointing to a release before April next year. That may be a bit farther from the previous rumor of late November and early December, but at least it will arrive.

Industry sources pointed out that Rockstar has been consistent with its release schedules over its last game titles. Both GTA III and IV for PC were released at least six months after the console version was launched.

On a business perspective, this move by Rockstar is a practical one. The game developer would surely want to get as much revenue from its current-gen version before shifting the focus to a PC edition, and eventually a version for next-gen consoles.

If several trusted sources have confirmed a release before April, then a Norwegian retailer's release date details and availability may be accurate after all.

But one thing's for sure - GTA V for PC will indeed be released. In a statement by an Intel official, the company is expecting the game to arrive in PCs 'shortly'.
