Man of Steel 2 - Batman Vs Superman [CAST RUMORS]: Ben Affleck Wants Larry David In The Film To Play DC’s Strangest Villain

It is still highly speculative but Ben Affleck wants friend and neighbor Larry David to be a part of the 'Man of Steel' sequel.

Affleck will play Batman in the project with the working title "Batman vs Superman." Larry David is the creator of the hit sitcom "Seinfeld" and is also the star of "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

The projected role is possibly for Mister Mxyzptlk. He is one of the recurring villains that took on the whole Justice League and is also IGN's 76th Greatest Comic Book Villain.

The description from DC Universe: "Mister Mxyzptlk is a reality manipulating imp from the 5th Dimension who antagonizes Superman. Not actually evil, he does no long-term damage although he constantly seeks to pester and prove he's smarter than the man of steel. He cannot be made to return to his home dimension until he's tricked into saying his own name backwards "Kltpzyxm." His counterpart and rival is Bat-Mite, an imp who shares a similar obsession with Batman. Mister Mxyzptlk was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, first appearing in Superman #30."

"The pair chatted about the idea with earnest abandon throughout the course of Emmy weekend. Larry has long been courted by the big budget superhero industrial complex, being linked to roles in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man sequels nearly a decade ago. But Ben is somebody he trusts and enjoys spending time with and this could be the right situation for Larry to finally appear in a huge-grossing hit film. Fun speculation that it could be for the famed Superman enemy role of Mister Mxyzptlk could make this piece more exciting, since Larry is a dead ringer for the character. Ben and his personality are taking over this whole production - he could come out of this with a producer credit."

Nothing is finalized from all these rumors as of yet, but Affleck, after getting the Batman role, can do anything.
