Craig Robinson Arrested, Detained For Drug Possession In Bahamas: 18 Ecstasy Pills, 1/2 Gram Marijuana, With $1,000 Fine, Avoids Four Years In Prison

Craig Robinson arrested and detained for drug possession in the Bahamas on Wednesday for trying to board a plane with half a gram of marijuana and 18 ecstasy pills.

TMZ reported that the "Hot Tub Time Machine" star was there performing a comedy show and is not denying what went down when he was detained with the drug possession. Craig Robinson was arrested after he was stopped at the airport in Nassau when he tried to board a plane headed back to the U.S. Agents with customs found "a small amount of marijuana and pills deemed suspicious," according to the Associated Press.

Craig Robinson admitted before a magistrate that the drugs were his after he was arrested and detained for the possession. His only excuse was that he didn't know the drugs were illegal in the Bahamas. However, Robinson could have faced up to four years in prison for the crimes. Instead, he was only given a $1,000 fine and told to leave the country, according to TMZ.

"It was nothing major," Supt. Stephen Dean of the Royal Bahamas Police Force told She Knows.com.

In 2008, the 41-year-old was arrested in California for possession of ecstasy and methamphetamines. Those charges were dismissed after Robinson underwent a program.c
