Moto X Phone Specs, Review: New Handset Could Well Be The Best Android-Powered Device In The Market Today, First Google-Designed Motorola Phone A Hit

According to Money.com, the new Moto X is CNNMoney’s Best in Tech for the Android category aside from the fact that it is tagged as the best Android smartphone due to its few extra features.

The impressive thing about this phone is its one to two days of use on its battery thus giving you longer time in enjoying smartphone use –a feature that is claimed by only a few other phones. While there are other competitors that possess better looks, speed and screens but this phone addresses the same ordinary daily smartphone tasks like the other.

Google’s first Motorola smartphone has been off the list as this phone’s competitor as Moto X features little details that make an enormous difference.

While the phone is strategically designed having a curved back for a convenient handgrip, its little dimple on the curve keep it from wobbling whenever placed on a table. There isn’t a need to unlock the phone and turn the whole screen on since new emails, texts and calls will be shown on the notification screen.

And as claimed on the post, Moto X is arguably the most perfectly sized phone with its 4.7-inch screen that will make you feel that you are just holding a much smaller phone. The side bezels were completely eliminated, making the top and bottom as compact as possible; with striking balance between size, one-handed usability and pocketability. Although its screen dimension is comparable to that of the HTC One, the latter is noticeably larger.

Among the features of Moto X is its owner’s voice recognition, that being said its dedicated processor will only listen to and deliver command through your voice by saying “OK Google Now.” Saying those words will allow you to place calls, ask for directions, conduct Google searches, play music, set reminders and send text messages.

This feature is beneficial whenever its user is in the car; the downside however is the fact that frustration can be expected in the process of texting or searching for locations by voice since Android’s voice recognition isn’t that good enough.

One more thing is its downside in setting reminder or checking the weather especially if you use a password to have your screen locked. It is basically a useless feature. Getting to the camera by quick access gesture is a failure in living up to the hype. While the camera screen comes right up by having the phone twisted like a screwdriver, same thing as advertised, but swiping to the right by turning on the Android lock screen is much quicker to be done.

Crisp and clear pictures are guaranteed from the 10-megapixel sensor during well-lit situations. Poor reproduction of color can however be expected whenever taking pictures in low-light scenarios.

While fully customizing the phone’s appearance through choosing from various colors is a privilege given to those AT&T customers, Verizon customers can as well take advantage of such feature in November. All of the major carrier in the U.S features Moto X.

What made this phone as the best device in its class is the fact that it is the cheapest and easiest way to have an Android phone having software that resembles Google’s vision for Android without the need to have an upfront payment of $700.
