Kanye West Resolved Twitter Feud With Jimmy Kimmel? Don't Expect Him To Tone Down His Boasting: 'To Say I Wasn't A Genius I Would Just Be Lying To You' Rapper Says

Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel ended their Twitter war of tweets on the show Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night. Kanye West, 36, was a guest on the show hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.

Kimmel, hinting at truce, said that the BBC interview spoof was in good humor and not intended to offend anyone.

On his part, Kayne West confessed to have overreacted a little. No apologies were exchanged on either side.

"I knew you before. So when I saw the video, which I didn't watch all the way through because I didn’t want to be infuriated, I said, 'Well, I know you.' So the combination of me knowing you, but not knowing the person who put a bad headline on the cover of In Touch … I thought, 'Well, this is the one person I know!'"

"So I can go and let out anything that I feel about every single bogus weekly cover, every single bogus skit, every rumor in every barbershop, every person who feels it's okay to treat celebrities like zoo animals," said Kanye West.

This was only the beginning and Kimmel’s off mark quip, ‘I don't know if you know this, but a lot of people think you're a jerk,’ prompted Kayne to clarify his stand further.

“When I did that interview, I was vocal about a lot of things that I've been dealing with over the last 10 years as I was put in the classification of 'just' a celebrity, because for me, I'm a creative genius, and there's no other way to word it.I know you're not supposed to say that about yourself and I say things the wrong way a lot of times, but my intention is always positive," said Kayne

To top off his ceasefire speech, Kayne, who thinks that he is more of a “messenger” than a rapper, added for good measure, "For me to say I wasn't a genius, I would just be lying to you and to myself."

Earlier this week, Kanye went on a Twitter rant about the 45-year old Kimmel, who had spoofed Kanye’s BBC interview for his show. The rapper was visibly miffed with the act and hurled jibes at Kimmel on Twitter.
