Florida roller coaster reopens. Universal Studios Florida ride left more than a dozen people sitting high and dry for over two hours.

The “Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit,” Florida roller coaster stopped at the first hill of its ride for two hours on Wednesday night.

Tom Schroder, a spokesman for Universal Studios says the “Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit” roller coaster reopened yesterday. The Florida roller coaster reopened about 12 hours after a technical problem that stranded riders.

The “Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit” seats twelve people. The Florida roller coaster stopped near the top of the first hill of the ride around 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Universal couldn’t get the passengers out for about two hours.

Universal Studios hasn’t released any information on what the issue at the Florida roller coast was, but Schroder says that crews worked through the night to ix it. There were no serious injuries reported were reported. One woman was treated at a hospital for neck pain.

The “Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit,” Florida roller coaster glitch was the second malfunction that Universal Studios Florida has had in three months. In August the Florida roller coast came to a sudden stop.

The Florida roller coaster isn’t the only ride reopening. Six Flags announce that it will reopen the roller coaster where a woman died this summer. Six Flags death on rollercoaster was investigated by German roller coaster manufacturer. Official says safety bar wasn’t broken on the ride involved in a woman's death at Six Flags in Texas. Six Flags promotes the roller coaster as touted as the tallest steel-hybrid roller coaster in the world.
