Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were apparently feuding for months before their breakup. A new report says Liam wanted out of the relationship long before their September split, but Miley tried to "trap and guilt" him into staying.

A new inside report says Miley Cyrus, 20, and Liam Hemsworth, 23, feuded for months before their split. Apparently Miley never let Liam forget how she gave him his big break in their 2012 movie The Last Song.

Miley constantly harped on Liam that she was the one who "helped make him a star", using the movie as emotional manipulation to keep him by her side.

Finally, though, Liam had had enough. "She flipped once Liam checked out of their relationship. He was fed up, especially after the VMAs. No matter how much Miley whined or manipulated him ... he was done," the source says.

"Miley was super manipulative with Liam and she used the movie [The Last Song] to trap and guilt him into staying in a relationship with her," a source told press.

The inside source continued,  "She was constantly reminding him that she 'helped make him a star' through their movie The Last Song and she'd brag that she 'introduced him to the world.'"

"That movie was her project and she never hesitated to remind Liam of it. She literally took credit for making him a popular actor," the inside source added.

Liam was last seen racking up a $3,800 bar tab at NYC's Anisworth Park, so who knows how he's doing post breakup. Could be a bad sign or a good one. His hook-up, Eiza Gonzalez, was nowhere to be seen, but the two met up later for drinks at the Bowery Hotel. Liam's currently filming The Hunger Game's third installment Mocking Jay.
