iPhone 5S Stocks 'Very Limited' In Stores, 5C Units Very Much Available

The iPhone 5s is Apple's best smartphone right now, and it is clearly showing us why. In a recent report by analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray, it was found out that the stocks have almost depleted.

Munster reached out on 60 retailers and found out that the availability of the iPhone 5s has shrunk to just 6 percent, down from 27 percent just a couple of weeks ago.

As a result, the resale price of the said iPhone is above the charts - the 16GB version sells for 32 percent more than the original price. According to Munster, this could mean that Apple is preparing for the upcoming launch in more than 30 countries in October, and several dozens more next month.

Meanwhile, stocks for the iPhone 5c have remained almost unchanged, a living proof that it failed miserably in targeting the midrange market. In a recent report, Chinese retailers and carriers have reportedly slashed the phone's price tag.

Apple has also reportedly halved the production of iPhone 5c units because there's no demand for them at the moment.
