Greinke took the loss in Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the Braves and was charged with two runs in six innings. Greinke owns a 5.56 ERA in four career postseason starts. On the other side, Kelly took a no-decision in the NLDS while pitching 5 1/3 innings, he gave up five hits, four walks and two runs.

"It's Game 1 of the NLCS, but me being me, I'm going to go out there and just pitch like it's another game," Kelly told MLB.com.

The Dodgers manager is happy with who he has going to start the first two games of this series.

"So it's nice to start a series with a guy of his caliber," L.A. manager Don Mattingly told MLB.com. "In this environment, it's nice to have those two right on top," he added about having Clayton Kershaw set for game two Saturday.

The Dodgers haven't played since Monday while the Cardinals closed out their series on Wednesday. There's always the question of rust from not playing a meaningful game.

"You could be laid off for eight days and come out and play absolutely the best baseball you've ever done," Kelly said. "You could come out and play the next day and not have a good game. This is all about execution."
