Jennifer Hudson siber her whole life! Jennifer says 'I've Never had a drink in my life!' to  Chelsea Handler last night to promote her new movie 'The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete.' A good Hudson played her role in the flick, it took a backseat to the the 32-year-olds revelation that she's been sober her entire life. 32 and still totally sober! How does Jennifer Hudson do it? 

When Chelsea asked how she played a heroin addict, Jennifer said,"I've never done anything, so that was hard to play this role. I've never had a drink in my life. I'm sober." Hudson went on "I'm like, 'Okay, this is new to me. Normally as an actor, you have things to pull from. I was like, 'I don't know what it's like to feel any of that.'" This was so shocking for a Chelsea Handler (and me as well), who can't seem to understand how an adult like Jennifer can resist the drink.

Handler, whose known for her deep love affair with Vodka, responded with, "What do you mean you've never had a drink?" she asked in dismay. "What are you waiting for?" Chealsea's response was so hilarious, it had me adn teh audiesnce cracking up. It was such a genuine reaction. How could 32-year-old Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson never had a drink? I don't know one single human that has never had a drink. ANd I know alot of straight adn narrow people, but never had a drink? No.

Jennifer is the spokeswoman for Weight Watcher adn now I understand how easy it is for her to lose weight. It's not the weight loss plan...it's the sobriety.

The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete comes out this weekend. Here's what it's about:

Two youths from the Brooklyn projects attempt to fend for themselves on the streets after their parents are arrested in this urban drama from director George Tillman, Jr. (Notorious, Faster). It's summer in New York City, and 14-year-old Mister (Skylan Brooks) is hungry. His irresponsible mother unable to hold down a job, Mister's situation goes from bad to worse when she is taken into custody, and child protective services attempts to track him down. Meanwhile, nine-year-old friend Pete finds himself in the same sinking boat. Together, Mister and Pete search for sustenance while attempting to avoid the violence that plagues their neighborhood. All the while Mister grows to feel invincible, never realizing that it's his vulnerability - not his youthful bravado - that's truly his saving grace. 

I bed you Jennifer! Go have a martini, go right now. Even if it's to understand the roles who play better. I'm so in shock and it's friday so I'm going to get a beverage now.
