Catching Fire Movie Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, And Josh Hutcherson To Show More Of Love Triangle; Advanced Ticket Sales Soars For The Hunger Games Sequel

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is not due to be released for another five-plus weeks, but fans have already been getting their tickets to ensure seats when the movie opens in theatres on Nov. 22.  Advanced tickets went on sale starting Oct. 1, and sellers have already felt how strong the movie is going to be commercially.

The Wrap reported that 70 percent of Fandango's sales on Oct. 1, and 52 percent of Movietickets.com's sales on Oct. 2, were for the Jennifer Lawrence movie.

E! Online quoted BoxOffice.com chief analyst Phil Contrino as saying, "It's in a league of its own, really.  This is a contender for biggest movie of the year, not just the fall season."

"The Hunger Games," the first instalment of the trilogy released in March 2012, had an opening weekend sales of $152,535,747, and grossed a total of $691,247,768 in worldwide sales.  There are analysts who believe that the second installment, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" will fare even better in terms of commercial success.

And those who watched "The Hunger Games" will notice some difference in the treatment of the sequel, with director Francis Lawrence now in the helm, having taken over the job from Gary Ross.

In an interview with NYMag, director Lawrence said, "I felt the love story in general was, um, a bit buried in the first one. I wanted to bring the love story to the surface. And when I say love story, I mean the triangle."

He also said, "No shaky cam. I think a lot of people will be happy to hear that."

The movie's soundtrack is also getting lots of attention, with songs performed by renowned artists like Coldplay, Sia, Christina Aguilera, and Ellie Goulding.

Also returning are Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket, Lenny Kravitz as Cinna, Donald Sutherland as President Snow, Willow Shields as Primrose Everdeen, and Paula Malcomson as Mrs. Everdeen.

Joining/ rejoining the cast are Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci, Toby Jones, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Lynn Cohen, Amanda Plummer, Meta Golding, Bruno Gunn, Alan Ritchson, E. Roger Mitchell, Maria Howell, Stephanie Leigh Schlund, Elena Sanchez, Bobby Jordan, John Casino, and Patrick St. Esprit.
