Taylor Swift loves music and she wants to help young people who love music to have the same opportunities to learn it.

On Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, Taylor Swift helped open the $4 million Taylor Swift Education Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Taylor Swift opened her $4 million Taylor Swift Education Center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Tonight, Taylor Swift will accept her record sixth songwriter-artist of the year award from the Nashville Songwriters Association International.

Taylor Swift was at the Country Music Hall of Fame for the ribbon-cutting on the Taylor Swift Education Center. The country pop singer donated a guitar to the museum as part of its new expansion campaign. Taylor Swift took reporters and area high school students around for a look at the new classroom and exhibit space before the museum opened.

In an interview after the ceremony, Taylor Swift said "I'm really excited about this music education center and the fact that right now they have three different classes going on today. It's really exciting that we can be here on a day when they're not only unveiling it, but they're starting to actively use it today."

The Taylor Swift Education Center at the Country Music Hall of Fame will have classroom space, a hands-on instrument room and ongoing education opportunities. Officials at the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum say the new Taylor Swift Education Center will increase opportunities for education by seven times.

Taylor Swift, 23, might even be at the center to help inspire the students herself. She said "We've been talking about different programs I can be involved in. I hate to call it a lecture because that sounds like I'm yelling at people, but we could do a Q&A talking to students here and a songwriters discussion would be really fun to have at some point."
