With 2014 quickly approaching, even more Sims 4 news and rumors are emerging in the gaming world.

One of the hot topics of Sims 4 news and reports revolves around the possible release date of the game. However, EA is keeping its mum, as always, when it comes to revealing more information about the official The Sims 4 release date.

For now, when it comes to The Sims 4 release date, the only official information the fans have is that the upcoming iteration of EA's most popular lifestyle simulation game will arrive next year. Yes, The Sims 4 release date is set for 2014.

There are "The Sims 4" release date rumors that emerged suggesting that the simulation game may arrive on December 2014. But as posted on SimsVIP, Charlie Sinhaseni, the PR Manager at Maxis for The Sims 4, only verified that the only official release date information they have given at the moment is that the game is slated to arrive this 2014 via a tweet, as a response from a post of Twitter member with username Ruthless (@ruthless_kk).  

The Twitter post from Ruthless provided a link and photo suggesting that The Sims 4 release date may be set for December 2014, according to a page on Amazon. However, Sinhaseni clarified that it is only a placeholder date created by the retailer.

On other Sims 4 news, it has been confirmed by SimsGuruGraham, as a reply to a post on ModTheSims, that the upcoming game will provide a more stable and improved camera movements. A separate post on SimsVIP reads, "The Sims 4′s in game camera will be less bouncy and more stable."

The post further states, "On a side note, even though they were not even near completion with camera functions, The Sims 4 camera movements we witnessed at Gamescom were much smoother than those we currently have in The Sims 3."

Ardent fans can expect more Sims 4 news to circulate online as 2014 nears.
