Taylor Swift Donated Education Center Worth $4 Million; 'White Horse' Singer Excited To Bond With Students

With her latest project, Taylor Swift proves that she can also be a humanitarian apart from being a pop star. The 23-year-old singer has opened Taylor Swift Education Center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum last Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee.

Swift donated the $4-million worth education center to the museum as part of its expansion project. The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer personally cut the ribbon in front of an audience consisting of reporters, students, and exhibitors.

"I'm really excited about this music education center and the fact that right now they have three different classes going on today. It's really exciting that we can be here on a day when they're not only unveiling it, but they're starting to actively use it today," said the song writer.

The two-storey education center has three classrooms, a hands-on instrument room as well as an innovative learning laboratory. It will similarly have an interactive gallery which will open next.

Despite her busy schedule, Swift is eager to be involved in the center's future projects: "We've been talking about different programs I can be involved in. I hate to call it a lecture because that sounds like I'm yelling at people, but we could do a Q&A talking to students here and a songwriters discussion would be really fun to have at some point."

The pop star will similarly accept a songwriter-artist of the year award from Nashville Songwriters Association International on Sunday.
