IU Takes Over the Weekly Music Charts with 'Modern Times'

Sweet-voiced songstress IU ousted Busker Busker from the top of the music charts after their two week reign at number one.

MelOn's Weekly Albums Chart for the week of October 7 to 13 saw IU take over the top spot with her third studio album Modern Times.

Busker Busker's second album and G-Dragon's Coup D'etat were pushed down to second and third place respectively.

Additionally, her lead single "Red Shoes" knocked Busker Busker's "Love, At First" from first place on the MelOn Weekly Singles Chart, where it had comfortably stayed for the last two weeks. The group's track "Too Much Regret" which was at number two last week, dropped down to number five in the most recent chart.

IU was also spotted at number three this week with "Everyone Has Secrets" featuring Brown Eyed Girls member Gain and had two other tracks, "Love of B" and "Between the Lips," in the top ten.

SISTAR's Soyou and Mad Clown remained in the top five with "Stupid in Love" while Lim Chang Jung and Yoon Mirae rounded out the top ten with "A Guy Like Me" and "Touch Love" respectively.
