The Hills star Lauren Conrad and Jason Wahler, who had been committed on and off until their final break up in 2006, have settled down in life, with their respective boyfriend and girlfriend.

Lauren Conrad announced late Sunday, October 13, 2013 that she and William Tell are engaged.

“I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend. I am beyond thrilled!” read the update. The Twitter tweet followed soon and congratulations poured in from all sides.

Conrad also posted the picture of her engagement ring, a massive cut-diamond dazzler set on a gold band. The Twitter post went viral quickly with the Instagram picture of the engagement ring.

Later Conrad, considered the first reality TV star in America, expressed her gratitude on her blog with, “William and I are overwhelmed by all of your warm wishes. Thank you so much for sharing in this special moment :-).”

The news of engagement came a few hours after Jason Wahler married his girlfriend Ashley Stack in a ceremony in Malibu. Jason and Stack were engaged a year before in November, 2012.

Lauren Conrad and Jason Wahler’s rocky relationship hit the rock bottom in 2007 when the latter went into rehab for his drinking addiction.
Jason had courted a lot of trouble because of his drinking problem, which included arrests on account of misbehavior.

Conrad met William Tell, a law student and musician, through mutual friends and the duo has been together since 2012.

The engagement came as a pleasant surprise to the folks in tinsel town who now look forward to the seeing the ‘young Martha Stewart’ dressed as bride.
