Official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Update: Firmware Arriving To Samsung Galaxy S4 Soon; Final Test Build Leaks

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is expected to roll out to Samsung Galaxy S4 soon.

Reports about the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update arriving to Samsung Galaxy 4 intensified even more when the firmware leaked.

As posted on International Business Times, SamMobile was able to get the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware. Specifically, the software is believed to be one of the last test builds before the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is released.

Accordingly, the build version of the firmware is I9505XXUEMJ3, which is available for Samsung Galaxy S4 with model number GT-I9505. This variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the one running with Qualcomm Snapdragon 600. The leaked firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S4 has all the aspects of the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean release build.

The official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is expected to start rolling out on Samsung Galaxy S4 units in the next two week. However, the firmware is both for the Samsung Galaxy S4 with model number GT-19505 and GT-19500. Owners of the US models of the Samsung Galaxy S4 may have to wait a bit longer before the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update arrives. Also, network carriers "may roll out said updates independently due to carrier specific testing and certifications required for system updates to roll out in the U.S.," as posted on IB Times.

Since the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware that was leaked is not yet the official one, it is not recommended for Samsung Galaxy S4 users to install it on their mobile devices. However, those who are adventurous enough when it comes to new Android experiences and wish to install the unofficial Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, you can proceed by visiting this post from SamMobile which contains download links and further information about the firmware.
