The official HTC One Max was finally unveiled.

As posted on Wired, the Taiwanese smartphone maker announced its new device on Monday, the HTC One Max.

One of the significant HTC One Max specs is its massive 6-inch screen, making it a part of the category for super-sized mobile phones called the phablets, which are currently one of the fads in the mobile market, which include a top competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which was also recently released by the Korean tech company.

Aside from its 5.9-inch screen size, tech fans will also see other HTC One Max specs including a full-HD 1080p display. Notably, HTC One Max screen size is slightly bigger than the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which only have a 5.7 inch display screen. HTC One Max is also packed with 3300mAh.

Furthermore, as part of HTC One Max specs, the giant smartphone is also equipped with a new feature called the Fingerprint Scan, which is found on the back of the device. This particular HTC One Max specs can be used to lock or unlock the screen and to open up to 3 designated applications by assigning a different finger to each, as reported on USA Today.

Apple's latest iOS phone, the iPhone 5S also has a fingerprint scanner. However, not like the Touch ID fingerprint sensor from the Cupertino-based tech firm, HTC's Fingerprint Scan is not (yet) usable for authenticating purchases.

When it comes to HTC One Max specs regarding storage, the device offers 32 GB of internal storage. It also comes with 50 GB of free online storage via Google Drive. Furthermore, HTC One Max have microSD card slot, which can be used to expand memory of the phablet.

As for HTC One Max camera specs, it still makes use of the Ultrapixel camera with HTC Zoe mode. HTC One Max also has a dual-front facing stereo speakers featuring the company's very own HTC Boom Sound.

HTC One Max release date in overseas market, according to the Taiwanese company, is set for later October while the Verizon and Sprint variants will be available "before the holidays."
