Nexus 5 Release Date: LG-Made Google Flagship Handset Arriving 1st Week Of November, Android 4.4 KitKat To Be Released Anytime Soon Reports Suggest

Nexus 5 release date: According to a new report from the International Business Times, the latest Google flagship will be arriving first week of November. Many are still expecting though for the Android 4.4 KitKat to be released this week, with some speculating that Google could announce it today. A leaked image of the Nexus 5 was shown by Anton Kuznetsov from Russia.

The touch-free controller that was recently featured in the new Moto X is that a feature and key centerpiece update of the new Nexus 5, the Business Times reported. Gotta Be Mobile reports that the Nexus 5 is all ready and prepared to go live on Google Play for a worldwide release. The solid availability date, however, for the device is being floated as this November, where it’ll be seen for sale at both online retailers and brick and mortar outlets just in time for the holiday shopping season.

The Business Times reported that unlike the Nexus 4, the new Google handset will be in ample supply and the company is determined to ensure that it will be available on the said release dates for shoppers and pre-order buyers.

In an earlier report, PhoneArena claims to have gotten hold of the first draft of the service manual for the Google Nexus 5. The 281-page document reveal what the handset may look like, complete with sketches and diagrams.

Based on the leaked manual, the specs of the LG Nexus 5 include a 4.95-inch IPS display that offers a resolution of 1080 x 1920. The smartphone will also have a Snapdragon 800 processor (MSM8947), 2GB of RAM and 32 GB of native storage. Phone Arena reported that the manual also revealed that the LG Nexus 5 will be powered by a 2300mAh cell battery, which can be recharged wirelessly.

The back of the LG Nexus 5 will have an 8MP shooter with Optical Image Stabilization and a 1.3MP front-facing camera handy for selfies and also support video chats. The LG Nexus 5 will be NFC-enabled and have LTE connectivity.

The said service manual shows it to be for an LG Model no. LG-D281 and goes through the performance, troubleshooting, download and calibration of the device. It also features scores of pages of diagram and a disassemble guide.
