50 Shades Of Grey Movie Cast: Charlie Hunnam Backs Out Of Lead Role Cause Of 'Scheduling Conflict' - What Was Real Reason For Quitting? What Happens To Dakota Johnson?

50 Shades of Grey movie cast: Charlie Hunnam will no longer play the part of Christian Grey as he backed out of the role just two weeks before filming in Vancouver was set to take place. The "Sons of Anarchy" star blamed a scheduling conflict for his departure for the highly anticipated film.

The 50 Shades of Grey movie cast is now down one of its leading roles. With so much internet outrage that Charlie Hunnam was casted as the lead male role in the film adaptation of E.L. James's erotic novel, Hunnam might have got cold feet.

Charlie Hunnam's agent told media outlets that he was backing out of as part of the 50 Shades of Grey movie cast because of scheduling conflicts. He said that he will be filming for "Sons of Anarchy" then.

"The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam's immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey," Universal Pictures and Focus Features said in a joint statement obtained by E! News.

One source said otherwise.

"Charlie Hunnam was never going to do Fifty Shades of Grey," one source close to the production told US Magazine. "He told his agents from the beginning he didn't want to do it and was going to pull out."

The 50 Shades of Grey movie cast leading roles now only has Dakota Johnson playing the role of Anastasia Steele. It leaves another question on whether the production team will find two replacements or keep Johnson in her role.

A source close to Johnson, told E! News that the "Ben & Kate" star is having a "tough time" ever since it was announced on Labor Day that she was going to play the role of Steele in what will be a lot of explicit sex scenes with what was scheduled to be Hunnam.

"Dakota is having a very hard time dealing with all the press," the source said. "When she first got the role, it was way too much for her."

It's still in question if Johnson will quit or even if production wants a new duo because of chemistry issues that helped her land the role with Hunnam.
