Kris Humphries is pleased with the outcome of the sale of Kim Kardashian Engagement Ring at Christies auction today for a whopping $749K. The ring was given to Kim by Kris Humphries, her ex husband that she was married to for a measley 72 days. The auction started at $200K and Kris sells the engagement for way more than he expected. But the best part of the outcome of the sale is that HUmphries can look toward the future and move on from his marriage to Kim K. WIth basketball season starting soon Kris can play with all Kardashian baggage off of him.

Kim Kardashian's 16.21 carat diamond ring designed by Lorraine Schwartz was origanally bought by Kris Humphries for 2 million dollars. Two buyers, one on the phone and one online, faught over the ring in the back of the room at Christies auction. The buyer on the phone eventually won the auction.  Christie's listed it as the "Property of a Gentleman."  It was later revealed to be the property of the Kim's ex husband Kris Humphries.

The engagement ring was expected to sell for 300K-500K, but sold for 620K and a total of 749K after auction fees. It is unknown who bought the ring, but maybe it was one of Kanye West's people! Kris was entitles to the ring if the couple broke up .And after just 72 days of marriage, break up they did. Kim Kardashian is reportedly glad that Humphries has let go of the ring, which is a symbol of their past. Kris can also be glad that he's decided to donate a portion of the sale of the ring to charity.

"The ring is indeed Kris' property that he received through his marriage dissolution," Humpries' rep said in a statement to E! News. "He has long-since moved on and is very much looking forward to a successful auction at Christie's on Tuesday, and of course to returning to the court this upcoming NBA season as a Boston Celtic."

"Kim has been waiting for the day he would auction it," a source previously told Us Weekly. "Everyone always asked what Kim did with the ring -- she silently gave it back over a year ago! And Kris waited until the divorce was final to sell it."

"Kris is not losing money on the ring," Humphries' lawyer, Lee Hutton said.

"It was something that was a part of the divorce, the dissolution agreement," Hutton told the Daily News. "Kris is pleased with the outcome of the sale and the fact he can give a portion of the proceeds to a deserving charity. He's in the process of selecting the charity now." "I'm not sure if the ring or its sale helps with the process of moving on. I think he moved on long before the ring was even put into the auction. Kris, being an athlete, is getting ready for an upcoming seasons and ready for life's lessons as they come along. This whole process was humbling but maturing."

Kardashian and Humphries got engaged in May 2011, married that August and by October 2011, she had filed for divorce.  Kim has since moved on with Kanye West and they have a baby girl together named North West.
