With the recent launch of HTC One Max, finally, there's a strong competitor to contend with the successful lineup of phablets from Samsung, especially with its latest offering, the Galaxy Note 3.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was unveiled during IFA 2013 as part of the Korean manufacturer's Mobile Unpacked conference. As for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date in the market, the phablet started to ship on September 25 and will be available worldwide beginning this month.

On the other hand, HTC One Max, which was freshly unveiled on October 14 will be available from Verizon starting this holiday season.

Of course, these two phablets are boasting with their own set of high-end features and specs, heating up the competition even more.

When it comes to LCD size, HTC One Max gets the one up with a 5.9-inch screen, compared to Samsung Galaxy Note 3's display which is 5.7 inches big. But both these phablets have a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Furthermore, HTC One Max' LCD screen is packed with 373ppi while users will find Super AMOLED screen on Samsung Galaxy Note 3, packed with 386 ppi pixel density.

HTC One Max is equipped with 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 CPU, with 2 GB RAM and an internal storage capacity of 32 GB. As for the Galaxy Note 3, the phone is packed with 3 GB RAM, Snapdragon 800 quad-core process or with 2.3 GHz clock speed.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and HTC One Max each have their own unique feature. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has the S Pen, which is one of the biggest facets of the device. The S Pen is a great tool which helps users to access things a lot faster and easier, among other advantages such as the Air Command.

Meanwhile, the HTC One Max has a fingerprint scanner, which, aside from being an additional tool for security also gives quicker access to applications. The fingerprint scanner allows the user to lock or unlock three apps directly by using the scanner.
