Nexus 5 Release Date And Pricing Rumors Revealed, Leaked Images Show Phone To Be Fingerprint-Magnet [UPDATED]

Ever since Google announced Android 4.4 Kit Kat more than a month ago, speculations and rumors about the company's Nexus 5 have been ciruclating the Web. A previous rumor mentioned that the new Android update will be launched on Monday, but Google made no such announcements that day. Now, the Nexus 5 release date is expected to be on the same day as KitKat's release.

UPDATE:

Just a few hours ago, Nestlé has all but officially announced the release date of the Nexus 5. In a previous post, the company posted an image with a caption "Everybody dance now!". The song was performed by C+C Music Factory which was previously known as 28th Street Crew. A couple of hours ago, it posted another photo, this time with a message "This is it", which GSM Arena notes is in connection to Michael Jackson's movie, which premiered on October 28, 2009.

While counting down the days for the Nexus 5 release, several alleged shots of the phone were leaked on the Internet.

As we can see from the rumored images of the Nexus 5, it will be a fingerprint-magnet which would not be good to see in a premium device. Of course users can easily wipe away those smudges from the phone's screen and back cover, but it will certainly be an added chore which could have been prevented.

In a report by Android Geeks, the Nexus 5 will be priced at $399 for the 16GB edition while the 32GB variant will set you back for $449. It also mentioned an LTE-version of the Nexus 4 which will retail at $299 and $349.
