Surface Pro 2 Release Date For Higher Storage Models Delayed Until December

Less than a month after Microsoft introduced its new Windows-powered slates to the market, it seems the manufacturer has just realized that the demand for their Surface Pro devices have exceeded their expectations. Now, a new report says that the company has moved the Surface Pro 2 release to a later date.

According to TechnoBuffalo, Microsoft Store now indicates the release dates of several Surface Pro variations several weeks later than the original date. For the 256GB and 512GB storage models, the official release date was pushed from October 22 to December 15. Meanwhile, the 64GB and 128GB models, which were originally set for an Oct. 21st release, would be launched four days later.

While Microsoft has yet to officially announce the recent changes, the latter have already been updated on the company's online store.

This is somewhat good news for Microsoft because actual consumer demand for its Surface Pro 2 far exceeds what it has previously expected.
