Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst Calls For President Obama's Impeachment At Tea Party Forum: 'What He Did In Benghazi Is Just A Crime' He Tells Crowd

David Dewhurst, the Lt. Gov. of Texas, called for impeachment of President Barack Obama for his policies on healthcare and immigration and the Bengazhi issue.

Dewhurst, the Texas' second highest elected official, was speaking at the Tarrant Country Tea Party candidate forum. The event was convened on October 14, 2013 in a Bedford suburb, Fort Worth.

Addressing the crowd, David Dewhurst questioned the policies of Obama government, claiming that the President is defying the Federal laws and his unconstitutional act in relation to Benghazi is akin to a crime.

"This election is about protecting you and your freedoms, which are given to you by God, but which are being trampled on by Barack Obama right now. I don't know about you, but Barack Obama ought to be impeached," said Dewhurst, adding, "Not only for trampling on our liberties, but what he did in Benghazi is just a crime."

Later Dewhurst spoke to The Texas Observer press person present at the event saying, "I think this president, Barack Obama, has disregarded federal law. He's tried to do things which are not authorized under federal law, such as with immigration, such as not following our federal drug laws. He's created winners and losers out of Obamacare where he has no authority, such as allowing for the unions and big businesses to postpone their mandates for a year."

He added that the government's inaction to protect the four Americans in Benghazi, Libya while they were crying out for help was appalling and criminal. The President ought to be impeached for that and removed from office.

While the Affordable Care Act is still being debated, there is no proof that Benghazi incident that was reported widely in the media was live-streamed in the White House.

This is not the first attempt to initiate impeachment process against President Barack Obama. A large group of Republicans is wary of his liberal policies and blames him for the inflation and other problems in the country.
