Is Lorde Too Young To Diss Taylor Swift? Kiwi Singer Bashes Country Singer For Being "Too Perfect"

Is New Zealand singer Lorde too young to diss fellow dinger Taylor Swift for showing a hard-to-reach image to fans?

Lorde, during an interview with Metro magazine, complained about the highly popular Swift being too perfect and making young girls think they're not good enough

The Kiwi said,"Taylor Swift is so flawless, and so unattainable, and I don't think it's breeding anything good in young girls. 'I'm never going to be like Taylor Swift, why can't I be as pretty as Lorde?' That's f--king bulls--t.""

Lorde eventually tried to clear up her words on her personal Tumblr account. She wrote: "i think i cocked that up a bit and what i said wasn't put in context also. what i meant was: there's a lot of importance placed on physical perfection in this industry, and i wish my favourite stars didn't look perfect because i think fans (me included) have these feelings of worthlessness, like they'll never be as pretty/talented/whatever, as a result of this intense photoshop culture and the endless strive for perfection."

Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O'Connor whose stage-name is Lorde was born in November 7 1996 while country pop sensation Swift was born in December 13, 1989. This makes the blonde Swift older than the brunette by 7 years. Is Lorde too young to be this critical towards another singer, one much older than her?

Despite her young age, Lorde made an attempt at maturity and made some sort of apology. She added these words on her Tumblr page:
"ps. i am very very new to this whole thing. i will probably never be the kind of role model for my fans that ts is for hers. i admire her very much for this reason. basically, this is an apology for not thinking too hard before i speak. peace. [sic]"
